  • The first overdue notice is emailed 7 days past the due date.
  • The second overdue notice is emailed 14 days past the due date.
  • The third overdue notice is emailed 21 days past the due date.
  • Items are declared "lost" 21 days after they are due, and replacement fees are then applied. Replacement fees are removed if items are returned in good condition.
  • Notices of lost status will be sent via email and SMS text message when available.
  • Holds will be placed on accounts with balances over $10.00. Holds will be removed when the balance on the account drops below $10.00.
  • A fee may be charged if items are returned with any damage.

All other materials (Reserves collection and technology) accrue overdue fines.

  • Overdue fines of $1.00 per day for each day that the WCTC Library is open will accumulate until the item is returned in good condition or the replacement fee is paid.
  • Fines for overdue materials can be forgiven with a donation to the Campus Cupboard, WCTC's on-campus food pantry for currently enrolled students. Nonperishable, unexpired food items are accepted. To have your fine forgiven, please bring your donation to the WCTC Library Information Desk, rather than directly to the Campus Cupboard.
  • Items are declared "lost" 24 hours after they are due.
  • Notices of lost status will be sent via email and SMS text message when available.
  • At 3 days overdue, the replacement cost for items will be charged to your WCTC Library account. Holds will also be placed on your WCTC Library account and your WCTC student account.
  • Holds will be removed when the items are returned in good condition or replacement fees are paid.
  • At 7 days overdue, the WCTC Dean of Students will be notified, and appropriate action will be taken.
