The WCTC Library will maintain the following resources:
The primary responsibility will be to serve the reading, reference, and research needs of students, faculty, and staff as well as provide material to assist administrative and service personnel in the performance of their duties. Secondarily, resources will be available for use by district residents and business and industry personnel within Waukesha County.
Material to support technical and associate degree programs will have priority.
Access to additional material from other collections will be provided through interlibrary loan, consortial and resource sharing agreements.
Donations
The WCTC Library gratefully accepts donations that conform with this Collection Development Policy. However, because of space considerations or other priorities, the director of library services may sometimes need to decline donations even when those donations meet the criteria above. All accepted donations will be reported to the WCTC Foundation, which will send out an acknowledgement letter to serve as a valid receipt to the donor. Also, the donor’s name will appear in the Foundation’s Annual Report unless a request is made to remain anonymous.
