The WCTC Nursing program recommends using a variety of resources to prepare for the ATI TEAS. Please note that some items listed on this site are free; others have a fee associated with them. The WCTC Testing Center has more information on the ATI TEAS. For questions about the admissions process, email enroll@wctc.edu or set up an appointment with the Enrollment Counselor team. Registered WCTC students may check out the print books listed below for 14 days; all other borrowers are restricted to in-building use only. There is no cost to checkout these items. To access eBooks while off campus you will be prompted to login with your WCTC username and password. |
Practice tests, instruction & concept review are available in the Academic Assistance, Math and Science Centers. The centers are located on the top floor of the B Building in the Library. Check the Academic Support Services schedule for availability.
Students with accommodations must schedule test through the WCTC Student Accessibility Office.
Students are allowed unlimited attempts but, will pay the same fee for each attempt.
Test is given on a computer and includes a countdown timer. Returning to unanswered questions within the same subject area test is allowed.
Blank scrap paper is provided to use during the test.
The cost of the TEAS at the WCTC Testing Center is $95. The cost to take the exam at ATI is $120.
The TEAS Exam contains 170 questions for a total of 209 minutes testing time and are given in the following order:

(45 questions/55 minutes)
Mathematics
(38 questions/57 minutes)
TEN MINUTE BREAK (optional break after Mathematics section)
Science
(50 questions/60 minutes)
English & Language Usage
(37 questions/37 minutes)

PrepSTEP for Community Colleges (formerly LearningExpress Library)
There is no cost to use PrepSTEP for WCTC students, instructors and staff. Three test modes are available: simulation (timed), practice, or learner (answers provided as you go along).
In order to view and take the practice tests, you will need to sign up for a free account. At the top of the main screen, click on Sign In/ Register. Look for New User? and then click on Register. Type in your name, WCTC email, and create a password.
