Journal article

The final citation for this journal article will read:

Ceccoli, S. & Bing, J. (2018, September). Taking the lead: Transatlantic attitudes toward drone strikes. Journal of Transatlantic Studies16(3), 247-271. https://www.doi.org/10.1080/1479012.2018.1482711

You can see where on the detailed record of the article each piece of information was found.

The authors are placed last name first, followed by first initials (with middle initials if present).

The date is presented in parentheses, year first.

The title is in sentence case, that is, only the first letter of the first word is capitalized, and the first letter of the first word of the subtitle. Proper nouns will be capitalized as well.

The title of the journal is capitalized as you would expect for a title (title case). The journal title is in italics.

The volume number is in italics, but the issue number, following it in parentheses, is not.

The DOI is presented as a hyperlink.

Book

The final citation for this book will read:

Kang, L. & Pedersen, N. (2017). Quackery: A brief history of the worst ways to cure everything. Workman Publishing Company.

The author is presented last name first, and then first initial.

The title is in sentence case, that is, only the first letter of the first word is capitalized, and the first letter of the first word of the subtitle. Proper nouns will be capitalized as well. The title is also in italics.

For the publishing company name, present it as it appears in the book. You don't need to include abbreviations like Ltd. that denote a type of company structure.

Website

The final citation will read:

Kann, D. (2020, January 17). More Americans are alarmed by global warming than ever before, survey reveals. CNN. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/17/us/survey-shows-more-americans-alarmed-by-global-warming/index.html
