Counseling Services: Getting Started

Getting Started

Mental Health Counseling Services is located on the lower level of the C Building.
We are open 8am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-4pm on Fridays.

Follow these steps to make your first appointment:

Choose the type of appointment you would like

General Consultation - if you are unsure about the counseling process or have general questions, this appointment type is likely best for you. You will meet with a counselor briefly to determine your needs, answer any questions, and refer you to the appropriate service, if needed.

Single Session if you have a specific issue to address and believe a single therapy session is sufficient, this is the appointment type for you.
*If you determine after a single session that you would like to continue with ongoing counseling, that is always an option!

New Intake - if you have goals you would like to accomplish, specific concerns you want to address, and are interested in attending more than one session - this appointment type is for you. You will meet with a counselor for roughly 50 minutes, get to know one another, and answer general intake questions to help your counselor best understand how to help.
